Biography
The Ukrainian band -Of Celestial was formed on April 17, 2006. At that time the band consisted of 4 people:
The frontman and, in fact, the founder of the band, Vitaliy Gabelkov (guitar, vocal), who had previously played with such bands as Crystal Tears, Vae Solis.
The drummer of the band, Sergey Yatsenko, who was a member of such bands as Burning Spirit , Chornolys.
The bassist Aleksey Ruban and the keyboardist Ivan Danilets.
In summer 2007, after having generalized new accumulated and already represented material, the band started to work on debut album record under the tentative title "Engrossed By Eternity".
On the arrival from the regular concert, Ivan Danilets left the band on personal grounds, and just participated in the album recording as a session keyboardist.
In October 2007, the second guitarist Aleksey Korenevskiy joined the band (Silent Void, ex-Vae Solis).
This lineup had performed few more concerts, after which the guitarist Aleksey Korenevskiy left -Of Celestial. Almost at once his place was taken by new guitarist Igor Verizub, who determined the band lineup completely and entirely. Few months later the band concluded a contract with "More Hate Productions" and in June 2009 they released the debut album "The Strange Infinity", which immediately received a lot of favorable comments at various reviews and from the fans, having proved to get the rightful place among the underground music. Almost at once out of 1050 applications, -Of Celestial tried out for the largest-scale festival of Ukraine "Chaika Open Air 11" where -Of Celestial performed with such monsters of heavy stage as Septic Flesh, Devildriver and a lot of other titans! After that the band performed a concert in support of the debut album "The Strange Infinity", receiving more and more favorable comments in press both in Ukraine and abroad. The band increasingly frequently has received the invitations to various concerts and festivals.
In December 2009 the band began to record new already accumulated material under the tentative title "Virgin Blood", combining their concert performances with studio work.
In spring 2011, -Of Celestial concluded the contract with "More Hate Productions" again to release their second full-length album and had begun their active concert activity in support of the universal's long-awaited work "Virgin Blood"!!!
